Preparation

12 g tea leaves (5 heaped Tealamass) to 1 liter of filtered water, boiled and cooled to 80°C / 176°F (let water cool for about 10 min. after boiling). Allow to brew 1.5 min.

Traditionell wird pfannengerösteter Tee in Japan nur in wenigen Gärten auf der Insel Kyûshû hergestellt. Dieser Kamairicha wird in der Region Gokase angebaut und besticht durch eine lebendige Tasse mit edlen Röstaromen. Die Verarbeitungsweise erinnert nicht ohne Grund an Tees aus China. Die Bewohner der Insel Kyûshû haben aufgrund der Nähe zum Festland schon immer viel Handel mit China getrieben. Dieser Einfluss lässt sich auch an anderen Stellen der regionalen Kultur beobachten.
