5. responsible market surveillance authority
For Germany:
The federal states are currently setting up a joint body to fulfil the tasks of the Accessibility Improvement Act.
The Market Surveillance Authority of the Federal States for the Accessibility of Products and Services (MLBF) is to start work as a new institution under public law in Saxony-Anhalt, in the state capital Magdeburg, on 28 June 2025. The prerequisite for this is the ratification of the state treaty on the fulfilment of tasks in accordance with the Barrier-Free Accessibility Reinforcement Act (BFSG) by all federal states. All federal states are currently creating the necessary conditions for this.
