Preparation
12 g tea leaves (8 level Teelamass) to 1 liter filtered, boiling water. Allow to brew 2 min.
Geographically, Darjeeling and Nepal are close to each other - this is also reflected in the quality of the tea, which grows in both regions under equivalent conditions. The fine fresh first flush from Sunderpani shows the closeness to its famous neighbour Darjeeling and is now on a par with it!
Developments in the quality and taste of Nepalese teas have been extremely pleasing in recent years. The fruits of TeaGschwendner's joint project with the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ are also evident in this tea: a wonderfully authentic first flush from Nepal, with an enchantingly refreshing, light yellow cup. The approximately 300 smallholders of the Shree Sunderpani, Eco Kolbung and Boudhadham cooperatives in the tea district of Ilam in the heart of Nepal do incredible work and bring excellent organic teas to German tea drinkers.
