Japan Matcha Bowl beige

This matcha bowl from the traditional ceramics region of Mino embodies Japanese tea culture in its most authentic form. The exterior is decorated with gentle, flowing lines that lend the bowl a harmonious movement.

Inside is the subtle chadamari – a small depression in the bottom that serves as a reservoir for the last of the foam, subtly rounding off the enjoyment of the matcha.

The unglazed foot ring, typical of classic Japanese tea ceramics, emphasises the handcrafted character. The glaze in a soft cream tone shows fine craquelure cracks, which are deliberately used as a design element. They are a rustic feature of Japanese aesthetics that emphasises the individuality and naturalness of the bowl.
